Bob Thompson had a vision back in 1957, this vision was to build a business with his children and service the community. He started with 1 bulldozer and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. With the help of his wife Elaine, he slowly created what we taoday call Thompson's Sand & Grabel. Until 1986 Thompson's Sand & Gravel was based out of Bob's house in Exeland, but due to the future growth in the Hayward area he decided to make Hayward his home base.

First and formost the community where we are based is what made us who we are today. We currently employ over 30 people from the Hayward area. But we are not limited to this area; we will go as afar as we need to satisfy our customers.
